From Investment Banking to Big Tech: A Nontraditional Path
Jonathan earned his undergraduate degree from Rutgers University, where he was recognized as a Dean’s List recipient for academic excellence. He then attended Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he was honored as a Dean’s Merit Scholar. Driven by a commitment to mastering both the legal and business dimensions of complex disputes, Jonathan later earned his MBA from Cornell University.
Before returning to the practice of law, Jonathan built an impressive career in high-level finance and technology. As an investment banker, he advised on transactions ranging from $5 million to $500 million, gaining deep experience in negotiation, valuation, and strategic deal-making.
He later transitioned into Big Tech, where he helped close tens of millions of dollars in deals with major insurance carriers, including Allstate, Northwestern Mutual, and USAA. Many of these engagements focused on auto insurance claims operations and process optimization.
Insider Knowledge of How Insurance Companies Evaluate Claims
Working directly with insurance executives gave Jonathan rare, behind-the-scenes insight into how claims are evaluated, negotiated, and defended. He saw firsthand how insurance companies analyze risk, manage exposure, and attempt to minimize payouts.
Armed with both legal training and insider industry knowledge, Jonathan made the deliberate decision to return to the practice of law — this time to hold those very institutions accountable on behalf of injured New Jersey residents.
